About Us

Hello, we are Sarah Desmond, Brock Williams, and Dempsey Wilken, and we are completing a group honors thesis through Barrett, the Honors College with the Center for Entrepreneurship and the School for the Future of Innovation in Society. The focus of our thesis is to design and implement a competition at Arizona State University (ASU) where students would gain a voice in reclaiming the outdoor space and increasing the social value of energy. We are inviting students from all campuses at ASU to join a competition where they would be designing a structure to be built on a site on ASU Tempe campus. The design would utilize a sustainable solar energy source, bring social value to our community, and encourage people to want to spend time outdoors. The final presentation will be judged by design, engineering and energy professionals.
